Spring Energized PTFE Seals

ptfe_imgOmniSeal® products are high-performance spring energized PTFE seals capable of handling extreme service conditions. They are used where ultra-low friction, chemical compatibility and extreme temperature is required. Originally developed to meet the severe conditions encountered in rocket and missile applications, today OmniSeal products are accepted for use in a wide range of applications.

OmniSeal® products are designed to fit in all standard hardware glands such as MIL-G-5514, AS4716, Industrial, Metric, JIS, and custom gland sizes. OmniSeal products are available from 0.40″ (1.00mm) up to 60″ (1524mm diameter).

Temperature: -450°F (-268°C) to +600°C (+316°C)
Pressure: Vacuum to 50,000 psi (3448 bar)
Low and controlled friction, low wear
Broad chemical compatibility

    OmniSeal® radial seals are used in rod and piston sealing applications typically designed for uni-directional pressure sealing. Radial seals are commonly used for static service, reciprocating and rotary motions.     OmniSeal® Face Seals

    OmniSeal® face seals are designed for internal face or external face sealing applications. The majority of face seal applications are static. However, for dynamic face sealing applications, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has a wide selection of OmniSeal® product design to meet the most challenging requirements.     OmniSeal® RACO™

    The OmniSeal Raco 1100A Face Seal employs a heavy duty, high load RACO spring with continuous contact along the entire sealing lip. This rugged seal is recommended for extreme static sealing conditions such as those involving cryogenic fluids, ultra high vacuum and positive sealing of light gases. View RACO

    OmniSeal® Fluoroloy® Jacket Materials

    OmniSeal® products utilize Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics’ Fluoroloy® trademarked materials for its seal jacket. Fluoroloy compounds are proprietary blends of premium PTFE resins and fillers, processed for optimum performance. They provide chemically-resistant, low-friction, longer wear life, high and low temperature capability to meet the most demanding applications.

    OmniSeal® Spring Energizer Materials

    Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has eight different designs of metal spring energizers for use in the OmniSeal® seals.
